The Flood

This is a personal piece with my character Merlin which was inspired by the song The Flood by Take That. This is a snapshot far into Merlin's past where he had to defend his world against the great storm. His brother (who has an affinity with storms) in a fit of rage caused the great storm which swept up a huge wave that would have destroyed everything had Merlin not stepped up to save it.

I thought up this concept about a year ago now and I've just been adding to it gradually since then to try and get it to a stage where I'm happy with it. And I think that day has finally come! I'm actually really pleased with this piece and I think that all the time has been worth it to make something I'm actually proud of.
